I have several CrowneAndCrane shaving soaps and love the performance/scents. This will be the first time I've tried their bath soaps

Stirling Glastonbury. This is a sample that Rod and Mandy sent in my last order and I shall be using it for the first time tonight.

I don’t think I’ve posted in this thread yet, but my view is that we’re living in a golden era of bath soaps. (Shaving soaps too, but that’s a different thread.) For the first almost 60 years of my life, I used the drugstore varieties, including Lifebuoy, Ivory, Irish Spring, Dove, etc. Whatever my mom bought or, later, what was on sale at the grocery. In the last four or five years, I’ve enjoyed some tremendous bath soaps, none of which I would place above the others: Tabac, Mysore, Stirling, Chiseled Face, Lisa’s Natural, etc.

Once in a while, growing up in Boulder in the ‘60s, my mom would buy some “handmade soap” from hippies in tie-dye at a “farmers market” or “festival.” The soaps simply didn’t work, and rarely lived in the house for more than a few days. Another example, for me, of modern times being better than the “good old days.”

Opened Crown & Crane Aphrodisia the other day. This one doesn't have goat milk but I'm finding it leaves my skin silky smooth

Posting Freak
I'm using a TOBS Sandalwood soap this month. Its a nice soap. I don't know if anyone else has this issue but some soap bars are just too darn big and unwieldy at least for the first week or two of use. They're easy to drop and really hurt if they land on your toe. This TOBS is one of those and in the past I've shied away from monster bars of soap even if they're a nice soap. No more. I got out a coping saw and cut the TOBS Sandalwood bar in half. Now its ideal. I'm going to do this with other monster bars so that the full assortment of soaps are available to me regardless of how freaking huge they might be. Happy2
