They're sealed with industrial epoxy. Rob was pretty emphatic that they're protected against such things, and I trust his expertise on the subject.

Just a quick follow up on Roam II. After a few uses the smell has grown more tolerable. Do I love it? No, however I no longer despise it. I just give it a neutral rating. The performance however is = to the tallow versions IMO. This definitely makes the unscented version of the vegan(?) soap a good buy.  Happy2
