I hear you, maybe one of us (DFS members) could provide some assistance gratis pulling all of the information together in a satisfactory format? Just a thought to keep in mind. I'm sort of retired and my wife knows all of the office and project organizing software and there's no jobs to speak of around these parts so time isn't a concern.
Cheers,
Mark

I'd be down. We could work out a trade of some kind. Smile

Hi Will, I was looking at a recent SOTD post featuring B&M Lavanille with the new label and I notice that the soap itself is quite dark. I have the old label Lavanille and it isn't nearly as dark. Its a little darker than other B&M soaps I've compared it to but not that mahogany brown that I see in the soap on the SOTD. Have you changed the formulation of the new label Lavanille? I need to know if I have to buy the new one if it will be significantly different than the old one.
Thanks,
Mark

I think he just changed the type of vanilla used, and the new type oxidizes, but does not change the performance at all.

Will, has anything materialized about the Ahab soap that was posted over on reddit? That soap sure would be interesting if you were able to make it.

Oxidizes more readily.* All vanillin oxidizes. Smile

No, we're mostly sticking to the production schedule this year. Smile

No, it's not rusting. It's reacting with oxygen. Vanillin's not ferrous, so it can't rust.

It actually smells a bit richer than the earlier versions, which is why we've stuck with it. Smile
