Seconded. Matt, I always appreciate your thorough and thoughtful reviews and appreciate your descriptions. I'm sitting this release out but appreciated reading the review. Big Grin

I agree with both of you.  This is a massive, honest, and well written review.  It gives me a clearer idea of what the product is all about, from all angles.  Thanks 120inna55. Smile

Thanks for the excellent review, not too bad for an "amateur" Big Grin If you rank as an amateur than I have several more rungs to climb before I can call myself amateur. I think that puts me presently in the category of "hack" All kidding aside, thank you for the thorough, articulate and informative review and the really spectacular photo - its the first I've seen that reveals the coffret in its true beauty. If I'd seen that picture earlier I may have tried to buy one!

Thanks,
Marko

Thank you all for the kind words. I really wanted to share the pics as this is a beautiful set.

Marko they're all quite different. The prototype on the website is a little more boxey. I've seen others that are more squatty than mine. I would love to find a thread in which people show a pic of their coffret and its corresponding production number. I have #5.

Someone on reddit discovered he could superglue the 2-piece part of the Fougère Gothique tonique lid, thereby circumventing the cumbersome child-proof lid.  His was a creative solution, no doubt. I also noted that I have at least 2 other artisans' splashes in my den whose lids replace the FG lid perfectly.  I'm sure there are others, but if you finish off any of last year's Catie's Bubbles or The Club splashes, keep those lids as they may be of some value to either yourself or someone else.

He's still active on Reddit so I don't know what that earlier post about quitting social media was about.

He's not left all social media, just most of it... Facebook, forums, etc. He's also become harder to reach out to (in general, not specifically - witness this thread). Honestly, I don't blame him for taking a step back.

I don't blame him either. It must be crazy trying to keep up with it all when you own a popular small business like that. Hopefully he can eventually find the time to post here again because I, and I'm sure everyone else here enjoyed his interaction.
