I was surprise to see Mitchell's Wool Fat on the list. It's been my go to soap for the last 3 months, but I think the scent is more Laundromat than it is Barbershop.

Sorry to hear this. Especially since I find Honor such a nice scent.

My uneducated guess would be that it’s either the basil leaf or the patchouli that’s causing the reaction.

I don’t mind patchouli myself, but I recently sold a soap that I really wanted to like, just because there was one bothersome scent note that I couldn’t get over. I suspect it was basil in that case. (I don’t find it strong enough in Honor to be able to tell it apart, but our noses are all different…)

You neglected to mention: An unshaven polar bear's posterior!

They wouldn't dare!

Mickey Oberman , as soon as I wrote it I had an unpleasant image of a giant naked mole rat...the clean-shaven look just doesn't work for everyone.

I don't think it's either of those. I love Respect, which is just Lime & Patchouli, and Sapone di Paolo Agrume, which I believe is Lime & Basil...

I might have to email SC for a more detailed scent description.

That’s a good idea. With all their experience in soapmaking, they might be able to pinpoint the matter.

I know that animal fat is or was used to make soap.

But Polar Bear Fat?!!!?

Now I know why most Klondike prospectors had big bushy beards.

Yes, I guess it would've been difficult to acquire...

I didn’t see it but I was looking for the Deluxe soap barbershop style. Any thoughts?
