I can only smell the Mousse de Saxe note in Vespers if I take a really deep sniff. With Beau and Lavanille it smacks you in the face. Vespers off the top is bright and green with the cranberry and fir while the other notes, including the MdS, blend really well to form the base. I can definitely pick up the Fougère accord and sandalwood in the background too. All around a very nice crisp, clean scent that is very appropriate for the holiday season. Will hit the nail on the head as far as that goes. I'm curious to see how the scent develops when lathered. I should've grabbed an aftershave sample too.
