I had to smile. Will, you have been to this Christmas market in Goslar (germany) ?

Would that I should have been so lucky. Big Grin No, I've never been, but it's on my short list of places to visit. I've always loved the image of such a place, though.

Of course, I had to order it (and also ordered the new waves and aftershave)

This was my SOTD.   The text is a copy paste from what I wrote on some facebook groups.

SOTD: Blue Xmas

Soap: B&M New Base - Vespers
Razor: ATT SE1 with Schick Proline Blade
Brush: Savile Row LE
Fragrance: PDM Layton

First try with the new B&M Formula. I will obviously need 10 or more shaves to get a final assessment but my initial thoughts are that this formula is indeed much closer in performance to the original White Label (including the magical post shave of that formulation), while also being EXTREMELY thirsty, even for Today's soaps standards. I'm very pleased with this and I hope this replaces the Glissant formula, as it seems as an upgrade in most shave aspects (while I Love glissant).

Ditto. It appears we're left "high & dry" on that for now. Undecided My sample will be here tomorrow and I'll post something. Wink

Sorry for the late reply (somehow I missed this comment). Its a bit hard for me to describe soap scents (while I can easily pick up notes in frags) but its very creamy and heavy on the special B&M note, which is the Mousee de Sax. I think it will be hugely popular this fall and winter, as it is a very pleasing scent and safe (everyone will at least like it). If you like Baudelaire, you will like this as well (they both share the Mousse de Sax note).

In my opinion, this is definitely the best Winter seasonal scent ever released by Will. Should be a hit.

I got my sample today and I'm gonna have to disagree with the above impression re: mousse de saxe. Everything else I agree with Smile. All noses are different, lol. It smells really good, but it's no Beaudelaire. Obviously, it wasn't meant to be, I know that. Beau is probably my favorite scent in all of wetshaving though. I can only smell the Mousse de Saxe note in Vespers if I take a really deep sniff. With Beau and Lavanille it smacks you in the face. Vespers off the top is bright and green with the cranberry and fir while the other notes, including the MdS, blend really well to form the base. I can definitely pick up the Fougère accord and sandalwood in the background too. All around a very nice crisp, clean scent that is very appropriate for the holiday season. Will hit the nail on the head as far as that goes. I'm curious to see how the scent develops when lathered. I should've grabbed an aftershave sample too.

I picked up the Vespers sample from Maggard. To me, the scent is a sweet fir scent. Think of a Xmas tree with some "fruit" notes to it. Like herbert7890 noted, it is a very pleasing scent
