B&M Lyssa

B&M just released their newest soap Lyssa as perhaps some may know. I see Maggard has samples, but after my personal disappointment with the olfactory reaction I got from Gothique/Angelique I am going to wait for some reviews to roll in before buying a sample. Who here amongst us is willing to take one for the team?

Lyssa’s scent was nice I had received a sample with my FG/FA sets. I would have Pifd to you but I had already pifd it off awhile ago. Scent is a bit spicy with some floral in it very nicely rounded off it just didn’t grab me as a must have. Definitely a nice scent though.

I'd give the Gothique another try if you only smelled it from the sprayer. The dry down is where it shines and the EDT is something special. Definitely a petrichor scent but has something that just elevates.

yep, I defiantly don't "need" anymore soap! It is the "want" that gets in the way....

I just received my set. I won't shave with it for a few days but I used the AS to try on the scent. I find it very nice. A soft yet masculine scent that is very subtle. As of now, this will be a keeper for me.

I got my sample from Maggards yesterday.  Haven’t shaved with it yet, but gave it the sniff test.  I am not confident that I will like it, but we shall see.  I am kinda weird with scents, as I don’t care for many popular shaving soap scents.  Most of the ones I do like tend to smell like some kind of food product - almond, lime, grapefruit, etc.

Had my first shave with Lyssa and am mightily impressed! I always considered the Leviathan my #1 soap scent-wise and performance wise, when it came out in the Excelsior base. Now it is joined by Lyssa.

I read a few other reviews and the scent was getting knocked around a bit. Leave it to Will to generate Roam part deux.

Wife found it at our local shave shop and brought it home as she knew I didn’t have it. 

Off the puck it’s floral but not feminine, some rose and geranium, finishes darker. The more I sniff it the more I like it. 

I’ll use it tomorrow, report back. Figure it’ll be great, Excelsior is a top base for me.
