As for the shave, it is unfortunately too mild for me (which I suspected before buying it). Even after an ATG pass and a cleanup pass, I still have spots where I can feel stubble. I'm eagerly waiting for a + plate now since this razor is too pretty to sell.

I agree it's a gorgeous razor! I think a razor like this is great for those days when you would want a no-fuss fast shave. I have been curious about how mild it is. I have a Masamune, WSC Winning Razor, Henson, and some vintage Gilletes like the Red Tip, Fatboy, and Slim. Those are the least aggressive razors I own.

I find this milder than the winning razor. It's almost useless to me. I'm only keeping it because a more efficient base plate will be released.

I had purchased one a few weeks ago as well and upon first-shave impressions I found it to be pretty good..! Definitely a mild shave and thats typically what I need. I don't shave every day, and usually after maybe 3-4 days, and it seems to work great with a derby blade.

Having had reservations due to the mildness of its normal plate, I was skeptical about the Kopparkant plus plate. However, it proved me wrong and left me thoroughly impressed! The plus plate is undoubtedly top-tier, boasting an exceptional 10/10 smoothness-to-efficiency ratio. I will put this razor up against anything. Not only does this razor deliver impeccable performance, but it also earns top marks in aesthetics, value, and build quality, all at a perfect 10/10. Can't recommend enough!!!!

I was also skeptical with how mild the original plate was, but love the plus plate! It's one of my favorite shavers now.

Same! I was ready to get rid of this razor since the regular plate is so mild. I wasn't expecting this from the plus plate. I figured it only costs $40 (the plus plate), so I was going to try it and then sell it. But there's no way I'm selling it now. This is a keeper for life! Now I want the Drakkant lol

One of my desert island razors for sure. Mine actually is the drakkant, not the Kopparkant, but same geometry lol.

Received the plus plate in today's mail in time for my shave. All I can say is WOW!! just about bbs, smooth, efficient , no irritation. the kopparkant is now a keeper and might be possibly my holy grail razor.

drakkant Ti has the plus plate and I was completely blown away last couple of shaves with it. Definitely a keeper in my den. It is that good. I’m sure Kopperkant plus and Drakkant Ss + plate provides similar fantastic shaves.

Quick one, thou I am a bit apprehensive w/ adding the Kopperkant (Plus) to my razor farm because of noted qa issues. But also is the handle treading #10x32 or the newer M5x8 ?
Cheers and Clean Shaves.
