On the razor baseplates that I own with a circular milled depression a 11mm diameter accommodates nylon washers with no issues. A baseplate that has the 11mm diameter milled depression on its baseplate is the Paradigm Diamondback razor.

Perfect! Shouldn't be a problem. Easy tweak. Thanks!

Posting Freak
[Image: Wqxd6SA.jpg]I got the razor in the mail yesterday and shaved with it this morning. I thought I’d post my thoughts as I go and then a summary after my week is up. So here goes

I shaved yesterday so today’s shave was only one day. I usually do a two day growth shave but an earlier member posted that he thought the Drakkant shone on the one day shave so I figured I’d do a one day shave to start. I used a Feather blade and Los Jabones de Joserra Blas de Lezo soap.

First thoughts are that the razor is very precisely machined, lots of crisp edges and the fit is very precise. There’s no play in the registration posts fit into the holes in the baseplate. The blasted finish is very industrial looking. Even more so than the Rockwell 6s (my daily driver) I think the Drakkant would be impressive in a mirror polish.

After the first stroke I thought that it felt like the Feather AS D2 but that was wrong. Once I found the proper angle it became much more efficient in both feel and result. It’s basically a cap rider. Only criticism at this point is it drags a little. That may be due to the blasted finish or the perfect flatness if the top cap or a combination I don’t know. I’d have to try a mirror polished version to know.

Despite the dragging, which was most challenging on the XTG pass on my neck, I managed to get a beautifully smooth three pass BBS shave.  It’s a very efficient razor. I’m going to let the whiskers grow for two days before my next Drakkant shave and then I’ll give it three days for the last shave before packing it up for the next lucky guy.

*as you can see, it fits into the Rockwell stand quite nicely.
