I haven't used the aluminum SE1 but the only difference is supposed to be the metal.

I imagine there'd be a difference between the two in terms of weight and how it would affect the performance, so just thought I'd ask and see.
Looks like I'll continue saving for the vector at this point.
For me, I prefer the heavier weight. With lighter razors, applying the right amount of pressure overcomes the weight difference. Put a Bakelite handle on a razor head and then switch to a heavy SS handle, it's still the same razor head. A tweak in technique solves the change. Many people get stuck on one technique for every razor they use, when every razor needs it's own technique, which may be more or less pressure.
