ATT but what one

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure

Guys. Ready to pull the plug in an Above the Tie razor in an Atlas handle. For that I am sure
Keep fleeting about between the R1 plate and the S1 plate

I like a medium to aggressive razor head in line with maybe a braveheart head. Think Muhle R41 but toned down a notch. More aggressive than a EJ DE89. Preferably good audible feedback.. Efficient.

Talk me into one or the other if you can

He will exchange plates that you buy directly from him for another. I would guess (you should confirm with ATT) that they would exchange your R1 and top plate with an S1 setup if you originally purchased through him.

In the UK so Probably getting it from Executive shaving in Glasgow who is one of the local distributors. That's why I'm trying to get the right head.

You can't go wrong with the S1. I use both the R & S1 plates and the S seems to be a hair more efficient.

S1 definitely. Have tried 4 different plates and the S1 has been the absolute best for me. Can't beat its efficiency and comfort

I have used a S1, but I have not experienced an R1. It is an awesome shaver, however I love the S2 a lot more. I don't even use my S1 plate much anymore. The open comb seems to feel better to me. Some have an opposite impression.. All I can say is the ATT slant line, in my experience, is terrific!

Given that I'd go with the S1.  So many folks have posted how good they are.  If you go that route, let us know what you think.

S1 hands down. Good choice!

I have both the slant closed bar and the R1.  You can't go wrong with either.  I use them both and they give equally good shaves.  If I had to keep only one it would probably be the R1, but since I can keep them both I will!
