On a lighter note, I want to thank everybody who has posted such amazing reviews of the razor. As somebody new to wet shaving and DFS, I do rely upon and consider the information provided by you to help make informed decisions for future purchases. The reviews by GlazedBoker, Phoenixkh, Mr_Konrad_Dundee, and I am sure others will follow have been extremely helpful and educating--thank you!

The razor appears and sounds to be exceptional. It definitely has a French flair, and I look forward to reading more takes on its performance. Please keep them coming.

My titanium set arrived. To say I’m disappointed with the quality would be an understatement. My box is crooked and doesn’t close.  The finish on the top cap is rough and not indicative of a 1500 dollar razor. I hope there’s some lessons learned here because this went downhill quick from my first AD order. This will be returned

Oh Man! That is a true shame amigo. For the amount of money spent, I wouldn’t be a happy camper neither. Are you shipping back to address the issues or just canceling the order entirely? If you did cancel, I’d completely understand. A premium marketed product should not have sub-par finishing nor an unfinished or poorly finished presentation. I can almost feel the frustration by reading your post. I do hope it’s resolved for you quickly and professionally as I have had a pretty good experience with Atelier Durdan. I do hope AD makes it right for you.

That is an extremely unfortunate experience.  As for Augustin being very responsive, I have not found that to be the case.  I have emailed him twice with questions and he has failed to reply in either case.  Maybe he is just too busy??

RAD is just a permanently temporary condition.  I'll get over it.. eventually.

Gus, I hope you are right and AD fixes it.  But, to me, how in the world did the box and the razor cap get through Quality Control?  That issue begs the question.  I have had no issue with my 2 products, but still, this is very disturbing.
