Sounds great. I think I will try and buy a jar within the next 2-3 months then. I've always heard good things about it, but never got around to looking into purchasing a jar of it.

I tried most No7 plates including 1.1, 0.9 (sold and purchased 0.7) and 0.7. I will say that the 1.1 is way more aggressive than the 1.05. I had the 1.05 GC and sold that as well. GC was less efficient but more comfortable, meaning less blade feel. Ymmv. I had the 0.9 and that is very similar in blade feel to 1.05 Gc but definitely not as efficient as 0.9 No7.
0.7 gap No 7 was in the GC .84 ballpark mid aggressive so to speak, both shave very different but you get the idea that smoothness moved up exponentially from 0.9 to 0.7. This is what worked for me and you may have different hair type or/and skin type. I have very sensitive skin in my neck region so I can easily get irritation/redness. 0.7 gap was very intuitive and almost familiar to the razors I’m used to. I gravitate to more aggressive razors like Blackbird Ti, Wolfman Wr2 1.55/ Wr1 .86, Carbon++ or + and Vector Faulx++. Hope this post helps you out.
Wow, OK, so yeah, maybe the 1.1 will be too aggressive for me if you're saying the GC 1.05 had less blade exposure. And 0.9 sounds good if it's more efficient than the GC 1.05.
I think I will try and change my order to either the 0.9 or 0.7, or add an extra baseplate if I'm allowed and get both. If I add an extra baseplate, I'll just tell him to put me at the back of the queue and do other people's razors before mine. Not sure how long it takes to make an extra baseplate. So for you, smoothness was much better going from 0.9 to 0.7?
With La Faulx, I will definitely stick with the ++ as I am happy with that choice. I can always use different AC blades to tone down or up the efficiency on the ++ I assume. Very interesting that you do like more aggressive razors and settled for the 0.7 with No. 7. It seems that No. 7 is a highly efficient razor with good blade feel the higher you go with the blade gaps.
I didn't find the GC 1.05 too efficient, just didn't like shaving with it. It's a good razor, but not for me. I couldn't cleanup my tougher areas (back of head, back top sides of head) where I usually have to do some buffing in those spots to get close to BBS.

The efficiency is fine for 1-2 days, but it is on the milder side. It is a good autopilot razor, but I generally prefer titanium razors over aluminium ones. The build quality and machining/tolerances is always top notch with Karve.
AD Le Maurice is very smooth and also has low blade feel, but the 1.0 gap has quite good efficiency. In comparison, the No 7 (both .5 and .7 gaps) have more character and feels more unique to me. No 7 has more blade feel/feedback than Le Maurice with makes the latter a bit less fun to use. Both are great razors, but the No 7 is just more special.
CF (Chiseled Face) has a razor called Legacy in titanium. Unfortunately it's sold out currently, but I think it will be produced again at some point. It's a fun and easy razor as well.
My current favourite head shaver is actually the Aylsworth APEX-Ti. That razor is simply amazing imo. Medium-high efficiency, low (but present) blade feel and very safe and intuitive to use. Next batch will drop mid-late February.
I might still look at buying the Karve Bison as it sounds nice. I did want to have one autopilot razor, but I was thinking of going with the Henson AL13++ instead. Have you ever used any of the Hensons to compare to the Bison? Good to know Karve still have good maching with their ALU razors. How is the thread engagement on it? I recently bought the RR Cyber Medium a couple of months ago Alu razor, but had trouble with the tread, so I had to return it.
Le Maurice sounds really smooth shaver. Maybe not the most efficient, but sounds like it is smooth shaving due to not having a lot of blade exposure.
I'll try and lookup the Chiseled Face later on when I have more time. Is it expensive razor?
I did just have a look at the Aylsworth APEX and it looks really nice. Would the SS version be as good performing as your APEX-Ti? Does the Ti only come with the Plus plate? I couldn't see any options to order a standard baseplate for it. I'd probably buy the SS version, though, if I were to buy it. Don't know which baseplate you'd recommend? I'll have to do some reading about it as it looks like a nice razor.
