Beautiful pic and a nice match with that handle. But, don‘t Karve and Atelier Durdan use completely different threads for their razors? Did you have any trouble screwing on the handle?

Thought that was going to be more of an issue as all of my other Karve handles will not fit on anything but Karve heads. This one got tight at the hilt but it works and it’s a beautiful option with this head.

Sorry for the late first impression, have been very busy.

The razor is beautiful and feels great in hand! The blade loaded easily, and everything is nice and straight. The polish is beautiful and really finished off the aesthetic.

First shave was with a new Feather Pro, and Lothur "White". The razor was very smooth and didn't require any pressure like the Vector. I was expecting an overly mild shave, but was actually impressed with the efficiency after the first pass. The "sweet spot" is a narrow window, but it's easy to find. Once you find and maintain that angle, it shaves like a dream.

Two passes and I had a very close DFS, rivaling some of my top DE's. Hopefully I can get a few more shaves and some pictures before sending it on.

Was able to get two more shaves in and snap some pictures.

Second shave was with the same feather pro blade on its second use. Ethos "blue note" cream was used and created a beautiful lather. The shave was very smooth and efficient, and removed 4 days of growth effortlessly. My only gripe I have is the razor is difficult to fit into tight spaces with its large head. I need to shave ATG to get all the way under my nose. Not a huge deal, but took some getting used to.

Third shave I decided to shave the L side of my face with the SS Vector, and the R side with the La Faulx. Soap used was B&M Brew Haha in soft heart base. Another great lather. Both razors had feather pro's in them. I'm not sure of the shave count on the vectors blade, but the la faulx was at 3 shaves. The la faulx was definately smoother and had less blade feel than the Vector, but the Vector was more maneuverable for obvious reasons. After completing two passes, the results were too close to call. 6 hours later, the la faulx side is starting to get some regrowth where the Vector side is still smooth. So a nod to the Vector on efficiency but just barely.

If I did not already own a Vector, this razor would definately be on my "to buy" list. It is well crafted, beautiful to look at, and a great shaver. I wish I would have bought some pro super blades to fully test it out! Razor is on it's way to the next participant. Thank you to Cornbread and Atelier Durdan for making the passaround possible.

Yessir. I’ll be updating the list tonight with the two new additions.

Scentsless Shaver
Oakland, ME
After no updates on movement after USPS registered receiving the razor, and getting both Marhos24 and myself very nervous, the razor has started moving again and arrived in the southern part of the state in the wee hours of the morning. Hopefully by Friday I will get a shave in! I think Mark and I will be breathing easier once I have the razor in hand. Don't know what happened, but the journey from Michigan to Maine took almost twice as long as originally estimated. I probably could have driven there and back several times, but, you know, work frowns on me leaving to get a razor!!

I'd love to join the passaround list if it's still possible to be added.
I'm in Illinois.

A bit late on the response, but yes, it is insured. Still showing it made it to Waterville, which means my mailbox tomorrow!
