Artisans without Lanolin?

I think I might be in that unfortunate group that lanolin doesn't agree with.
Both Wholly Kaw Donkey Milk and Noble Otter have lanolin, and i get a sort hot of spot feeling and redness after using them.

I've used a lot of Tallow and Steel and never had this issue. but you know this game, a man can't live on just one brand of soap!
Any recommendations for top tier soaps without lanolin?

It certainly won't hurt anything to try a soap without lanolin, it most likely isn't the issue. The incidence of allergic reactions to lanolin is roughly 10 per million people.

The most likely culprits in my view are the scent in the soap or shaving technique. By that, I mean pressing too hard, allowing the blade to pass too many times, or dogged pursuit of the baby butt shave.

Hman might have something here regarding his allergic reaction to lanolin. I am in fact allergic to Proraso.

P.S. I blamed lanolin at first too. I am NOT saying that you are mistaken or that lanolin is NOT affecting you, but the likelihood is that your issues are technique related.

HMan, My intent was to be helpful and not insulting - I usually don't know how long folks have been wet shaving. While the incidence of lanolin allergy is low, it certainly does occur. Most folks love splash with witch hazel. It lights me up and I have no doubt that it is the witch hazel.
