Who here amongst us has used this soap and is willing to give an opinion? Huh

I have Asian Plum in the new tallow, goat's milk and lanolin base and it is one extraordinary soap! Not only is the scent divine, but the soap base & splashes are magnificent, in my top tier for sure. More and more soaps are coming out with this same base through the Club/Shaving Shop. Well worth the detour my friend!

I would like to try one of the new goat's milk soaps. I'm just waiting for a scent that I might be interested in.

I have a few in their earlier vegetal base (black and white labels) and they all perform wonderfully

I just bought Grecian shave soap and after shave, I’ll let you know how it is when it comes in.

SOTD:
Preshave: Proraso Sensitive
Razor: Vintage 6/8 Fredrick Reynolds Old English Razor all original 1/4 hollow
Strop: Castle Shave 3’ English Bridal with Nylon Backing
Brush: Kent BLK4
Shave Cream: A&E Grecian
AfterShave: A&E Grecian

So I just received the shave cream and aftershave today, so excitement was building in me to try this soap the 1st chance I got. Scent on this is very strong but lovely! This from what I read is also a Fougère. Still not familiar with what makes a soap a Fougère, but I seem to have a thing for them. A&E should be called the lather Kings, this soap is extra thirsty and had to add water to each pass. Adding water doesn’t bother me especially when I get these results. Soap is very slick and performs amazing. It has a very strong cologne type of scent strong enough that the second you open the lid you get smacked in the face with it. Got a half decent shave not because of the soap but because of the razor. I got this razor shave ready but it is not to my standards so I think I’m going to go back and refresh this beast.[Image: 00e3ff5c52b03bc37913fe1d637735bc.jpg]

P.S. How about a photo of the soap with the lid off, please?

I have Pamplemousse and Platinum on the way.  I looked for  l'Orange Verte but could no longer find it (sold out at WCS, no longer listed at The Shaving Shop Club).  BTW, I noticed two slightly different ingredients lists for the seven tallow and donkey milk soaps I looked at:

For Asian Plum and Platinum Barbershop:  Stearic Acid, Tallow, Goats Milk, Shea Butter, Potassium Hydroxide, Kokum Butter, Glycerin, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil,  Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Lanolin, Sodium Lactate, Beeswax,  Fragrance & EO's.

For Grecian Horse, L'Orange Verte, Pamplemousse, SoCal Hipster, and St Barts:  Stearic Acid, Tallow, Goats Milk, Shea Butter, Potassium Hydroxide, Kokum Butter, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil,  Avocado Oil, Castor Oil,  Lanolin, Bentonite Clay, Sodium Lactate, Beeswax, Fragrance & EO's.

I have no idea whether these differences will affect performance in any noticeably way.  I bought one of each formulation because the scent descriptions appealed and because the one tallow and donkey milk soap in my den performs beautifully for me - Wholly Kaw.  Some of the Grooming Dept soaps are tallow and donkey milk formulations, and they are excellent by all accounts I have heard (but not always easy to get ahold of  Sad ).  Anyway, I'll post my impressions after spending some time with the A&Ss.

+++1 - I've tried both the Asian Plum and Grecian Horse and found them to be totally awesome! Great lather, slickness, protection and after the shave feel.

These are actually goat milk, not donkey milk.
