It's similar to the Manchurian knot from Elite Razor. A bit denser, whiter tips, and slightly more backbone. Used it this morning and am in love. A very tall brush. Just a touch taller than a Rubberset 400.

I got some T&H Lavender shaving cream, which I'll combine with vintage tallow-based T&H Luxury shaving soap to make superlather.


And I got a towel with my surname initial monogrammed, which I couldn't resist buying because its lace border is exactly the same as the one on a towel my grandmother had when I was a child. I was going to use it for shaving, but I'm not sure I want to risk getting it bloodstained from the occasional nick.

This was before shampoo and brush soap.  It looked a little asymmetrical out of the box, but bloomed and straightened out beautifully after cleaning.

Simpson Tulip 3 Manchurian

I face lather exclusively and I have really been enjoying my Simpson Manchurians lately. I prefer the smaller brushes in the Manchurian knots. The Chubbies are too much for me. But, my Duke 3 and 58 are perfect. I am glad to add this to the collection. The handle is classic. I am surprised by how robust it is. It is quite substantial.

A UFO Grand Titan L Titanium razor handle arrived today. It feels a little heavier than I had expected, but I'm hoping it will be comfortable for shaves.
