I have a bunch of the Feather ProGuards and like them but the Kai ProTouch MG are sharper and smoother IMO. You don't feel the blade guards as much with the Kai MG as you do with the Feather PG.
All of them seem to work really well in the AlumniGoose but there is no room for mistakes with Kai Originals. Man they are sharp.

I found this in my local supermarket and they werent bad at all. First shave was good but they smoothed out a bit after that. Reminded me of the Gillette Platinums in the Silver Blue type of packaging.

I am generally pretty neutral on Gillette blades. I find most to be "Ok". The Nacet and Red SS better and enough that I use regularly.
These have quickly become my favorite Gillette and one of my overall blades period. It's just gravy that you can pick them up locally in the supermarket or drugstore!
Look forward to your thoughts Freddy !

Silver Blues used to be my go to blade, now it's Rapira Platinum Lux. Thankfully I can use most brands without any issue and it is nice to have something besides the Van der hagen and rebranded, overpriced Personna Reds available.

That's good to know kwsher. My first shave with one will be on Friday. I already have my STAR DE set up with it and ready to go.
My suribachi (Japanese mortar & pestle) arrived today, and the size, shape, and texturing of the bowl appear to make it perfect for hot-weather shaving soap lathering. But time will tell....
