This morning was 40°F and raining - fall weather. The perfect weather for baking apple muffins.

I made a strudel topping of flour, sugar and butter. In retrospect I should have added some cinnamon for taste into the topping.

Fresh out of the oven.

Served with tea or coffee and a yogurt parfait. It was a good breakfast.

I made apple muffins again yesterday. Instead of the strudel topping shown above I made a crumble.
Melted butter, dry rolled oats and sugar. Plus I remebered the cinnamon.

These tasted better than the strudel topped ones. But the crumble lived up to it's name and these were messier to eat as some topping fell off with each bite.
