I am glad to hear that when I need more, I can buy some and enjoy it again! Currently, I am finishing off a Zingari Man tub that is under half full. MacDuff's Aspen Park is under that tub and I am anxious to use it again!

Hope your weekend is going well!
Ahh, the Macduffs... Always a good shave. I've been switching back and forth - Sheep to Macduffs. I don't want either to feel unloved, and I have plenty of both. The Sheep is truly a long lasting soap... Which delights me to no end. A top tier soap that last a long time for low money ... Win-Win!

Yep, not only can you get more, but it'll likely be less stinky. Not a big deal to me, as I was fine with the natural sheep scent ... But I will still gladly take better smelling. Lol.

Have a great weekend Eric!

... And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, another stunning shave from the Stirling sheep. It's just great stuff!

I've been looking at this stabilized wood brush I got from Terrafirma Soapery. The owner told me that the spots he missed with CA (unpolished spots) would be fine and wouldn't suffer water damage, because of all of the resin used to stabilize it ... But it still worries me. Does anyone know if he's likely right? Thanks!

[UPDATE] Ok... I'm guessing this isn't an easy question to answer, especially without seeing the handle in person. So, I just applied a huge pile of glue to the spot and balanced it perfectly until it dried (so it didn't dribble off). I then sanded it down and its now covered. It's only semi-gloss in that spot, but it's protected. It actually looks pretty good, If I do say so myself. Mind you, I have no tools or experience making handles, repairing handles, or polishing handles. [Image: 0ebb0531a61b69437a271b9e54ea6c8f.jpg]

Thanks Eric.

It was just nagging in the back of my mind. At first, I didn't even notice it. After the first use, it caught my eye. Now, it's so prominent I can't miss it. I think the coloring of the wood has eroded... Hopefully it's just the stain.

Regardless, it's now protected. So it should be safe. Happy Friday!

Thanks Dave.

I've since ordered a brush to replace it. I'll probably pull the synth and buy a badger knot for it. That way it won't see as much use, and won't be as much of an annoyance. Lol. I'm quite picky.

If you know what you like, you may as well get it. It's more being decisive than being picky Happy2

Problem is, I rarely know what I like and I change my mind so often it's a constant game of chase.

At least I am doing my part to keep the shave vendors flourishing.

Well, it's been a little while again. Geez.

I've been going back and forth with the Stirling sheep in the MacDuffs Aspen Parkland. To be honest, I've weighed heavily on the Sheep side. I'm just enjoying the shave more. That creates a problem as I have a tub I'm using, and then a whole new untouched tub and waiting still. I've even pondered getting rid of the spare and buying more sheep. Obviously I am partial to it.

I have a brush coming in the mail from China... Another shot at the DSCosmetic brush. A different design, but I'm probably still setting myself up for disappointment. Ooh well, we'll see in a few weeks. Lol.

In general, the shaves are going well... Albeit, nothing new to write about.

Have a great evening folks!

Well, I'm now two shave in with the DSC brush and it's working well. My only concern is 4 of the hairs came out, but those were likely just not glued well. Time will tell, though.

I have a rather large ring now in the sheep tub. It won't be too much longer for this life... Maybe 10 shaves? Still, what a wonderful time it has been with this soap. I'm very happy to have backups.

I've also started stretching the Dorco Prime to 3 shaves. We'll see if I can get 3 consistently good uses, or if it is more of a hit and miss thing.

Nonetheless, I'm getting wonderful, comfortable, luxurious shaves. No complaints here. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great evening folks![Image: f2415bbfb64dfb51fbbf04fc8d888649.jpg][Image: 9dbf20ea31901d389563ce6205907581.jpg]
