I decided to stick with my plan and try out the Henson Titanium mild razor. I used the Mystic Waters unscented soap, to be certain no issues I potentially encounter could be related to the soap. I'm sad to say, while the mild performed as well as the medium, my first foray back into Henson was not awesome. It wasn't bad, per se, it just wasn't as good as the last few I got with the Overlander.

This is, however, great news on the Karve front. The Overlander wasn't just to worthwhile purchase, it absolutely unseated my number one razor for the last year plus. Craziness!

At this point, I think I'm going to go back to using the Karve. If I'm still feeling this way in a week or two, I'll probably post the Henson for sale. Then maybe I'll snag a backup Overlander. Lol.

Have a good evening folks!

Sounds like the Overlander may have spoiled you for other razors.  Thats not necessarily a bad thing.  You may never need to buy another razor again.   But you will!  Big Grin

Honestly, not sure it does much for me as a whole, lol.

The first time I used it, I thought it might have been better than the soap I used the shave before. I don't remember the details, but it could have been any number of issues (including a bad day off for my skin).

Last night, I didn't feel like it did much different at all.

It's good soap, not the best, but very good in my experience. It's lack of scent makes me shy away from it. If I'm correct that it isn't any milder than some of my 'veted scents', then it's probably going to sit for a long long time. Still, it was a good idea I think. If nothing else, it gave me a reason for a purchase. Lol.

Regarding the bolded Question above... Are you needing a backup tub? I'll send it your way, if so.

Another great, comfortable, and close shave with the Overlander. This razor just performs. I am so over the moon right now with what I'm getting from this razor. If it keeps up this way, I will definitely be grabbing a back-up razor.

The CBL soap is a good, slick cream. The scent is a smooth, very light wood scent. Not strong or overpowering by any means.

In the SoTD thread I listed Stirling Glacial Post Shave Balm as my aftershave. I actually used three:

First I began with Sir Henry's No13. I wanted to give it a go, as it arrived the other day. Unfortunately, It felt very thick and clung to my skin. Nothing horrible, and it is likely a very nourishing cream but it just didn't feel right for me. I rinsed it off after a few minutes. I then applied Lucky Tiger, which is a lighter refreshing splash. That was nice, but I still missed the telltale sting of my Stirling Glacial. That ended up being #3 and finishing the shave.

While I shaved, I had the pleasure of listening to some awesome Celtic Rock: Dropkick Murphys, The Real McKenzie's, Flogging Molly, and Rathkeltair.

Have a great evening folks![Image: 120a0c0a619e105d9a54034fd852d627.jpg]
