I bought a Razorock BBS with their Titanium handle.
It seems crazy to me that RR can offer a Ti handle at that price…
That handle is just too long for me and it feels awkward.

I bought a Timeless Crown Ti handle ($60) and installed it on the BBS and it’s excellent.
(The danged BBS, with the A or AS plate, has become one of my favorite razors.)

I’d be willing to give you the RR Ti handle for the shipping cost.

There is also an AliExpress Ti (Karve knockoff) that I have on my Lupo and it’s also very nice.
I can hook you up with the vendor info, if you like.

I use my GC, Lupo and BBS regularly and they all have a different handle.
I have almost as many extra RR handles as RR does…

Yeah, it takes a while to get to your mailbox…

AliExpress Ti
Thank you so much Patriot for all of the info, and the very nice gesture. I'm also worried about the length of the RR handle. I'm a fan of about 3.5" handles.

I followed the link and that DSCosmetic handle looks nice (the Karve design). Considering RR shipping, it's about the same cost in the end. It looks great, lightweight, and is a perfect length. I'll probably order that one and just use some patience and wait for it. it's the smart choice.

The advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Paul.

Cost wise, it'll be approx $35 vs $75. That said, I do love the look of this Tibam handle. It's very reminiscent of the Wade and Butcher DE handle.

Tonight I get shave # 2 with the Lupo. Depending on how that goes, I'll try to figure out if (1) I'm selling the razor, (2) keeping it but getting the cheap handle, or (3) I like it enough to buy the Tibam one.

Of course, I could always use the Tibam on another razor... So it's not a waste. Argh. Decisions decisions. Lol.[Image: cdbf158795cfb5151fc81cf03a250a9a.jpg]

Somehow I lost track of where I was with the current blade. So, decided to swap out the Persona CC blade in the Lupo and loaded a new Nacet.

I broke out the Fine Lavender Pour Homme, thanks to the most recent 'desert island' thread. A full three passes, followed by some clean up, yielded a solid DFS. Problem is (1) it was rougher than yesterday and (2) it was not nearly as close as I like.

I'm sure the blade had something to do with the comfort, as the persona comfort coated is a lot smoother than a Nacet. Still, I don't see how I'm going to get a closer shave with a Persona on shave #2 or #3 over a new brand new Nacet. So, I'm again questioning the razor. I think I might load a new Persona on Sunday or Tuesday and see if that changes my opinion. I'm definitely not pulling the trigger on a new handle yet.

I also decided to pass the Defender on to my wife, as I just don't think I can use it. Where the Indian Guard feels like a weird DE or an injector, the three blade defender feels like a straight up cartridge razor. So, the Guard keeps the travel spot.

In other news... It's Friday. Grab a cold one (don't let the cat steal it, though) and enjoy the coming attractions for the weekend DFS![Image: 5e5ae85419a10e41d6d15ef370f1def1.jpg]

I like to keep first uses of a razor to my favorite blade, so I agree, go back to the Personna blade!

I don't know that the Personna is my favorite. It's smoother, but I think the Nacet is a bit sharper. Recently I started using the Personna ... Was it because of irritation? I don't recall. Nonetheless, maybe I should stick with the Personna for a bit longer. Lol.

Hey, saw the Lupo went up in the BST and had SOLD by the time I noted your posting, Well Done! I have also put stuff up within days of receiving, as I just knew I didn't like it well enough or any other reason. The only razor I really pushed was the Vector. Man, I wanted to love my shaves with it, but I couldn't get there. Technique, design, lather, who knows. In the end, someone else can enjoy it so much more and I can not feel guilty have a razor in the drawer that doesn't get used enough.
Have a good day, off to open the pharmacy now!

Yeah, I was thinking about it and it just stuck me... Even if I got it to the same shave I had the first time, there's still things about it that don't fit my taste. Mostly there's more feel (I think it has somewhat to do with the safety bar having those raised bumps). I'm more for a smooth, blade-less feel. I know others hate that... Luckily they makes all kinds of razors to accommodate everyone's taste.

Yep, it sold in minutes. It's a beautiful piece in awesome condition... I knew it would go fast. Heck, I even shipped it within hours. Lol. We have great postal here in upstate NY.

I still have the Lupo Alum up on the BST, and I'm going to leave the thread open for a while while I mull whether to post the Aluminum Henson, too. I just don't use it with the Titanium in my Den. My other idea is to put it up for the Saint Sue auction in another neighborhood. I'm seriously considering that.

I hope you have a great day at work. If not great, then a quick day at work. Lol. Off to church now.

Happy Sunday folks!

Sorry the Lupo didn’t work well for you Paul… I kinda feel bad now since I told you how awesome it was. Wink
