Are they being made somewhere and rebranded, like Maggard's does**, or do they have an in-house soaper?
Or do we not know? That might help to make some pre-conceived determinations...
**Not intended to be insulting to Maggard's as I find their soaps to be quite pleasant. Just a point that their soap is made by Through the Fire Fine Craft and rebranded**

Don't know myself; they're described as handmade & vegan.

I've actually had a tin of Campfire myself for the last couple of months & have used it a fair amount.
I also found the lather unstable at first, but it turned out it just needed more loading than I was used to (perhaps because it's a harder puck than I'm used to?).
I don't think it's a top-tier soap, but it's decent. And I'm a sucker for smoke, so I use it fairly often (used up my container of Cyril Salter Vetiver about the time I got it).

Looking at Maggard's site, the lid says "Produced for maggardsrazors.com by Maria Arman". A quick google search shows whe's behind "Through the Fire Fine Craft" soaps.

wingdo, TTFFC's website seems to be under construction right now. It didn't used to be like that. Also, Maria does make her own soaps, Maggard's and she used to do Blades Grim as well. She has also made special edition soaps for The Shaving Shop and David James Shaving Supply if I'm not mistaken.

After a bit more time with it, I'm going to take off another star. I do sometimes get the lather dissipating towards the end of the 2nd pass...
I have the two pictured below I used Citrus Basil but not Campfire yet. I did not buy them. West Coast seems to have some sort of sale or discount every week. A few weeks ago I purchased 100 Merkur Blades and they gave me the two tins for free and only charged me $2 shipping. With that in mind the Citrus Basil was not bad but I did not think it was great. However, in all due respect I generally like to use a new soap at least 2-3 times before I actually comment on it. As I remember it had all of the prerequisites I want. It did make adequate lather, razor glided well and post shave was very good. Can't say the fragrance was strong once I made the lather. An interesting point regarding West Coast. They are not normally my first go to mail order house. At one time they stocked all of their products. However, now they have cosigned it to a fulfillment house that is in Maryland who may be head quartered in New York. So all they do here in California is take orders. I do not know if this fulfillment house does anything else. I recently purchased some handmade olive oil bath soap bars from a company in Chicago and they told me they make SOME shaving soaps under others labels based on their formula. But I do not know who made these soaps.
