I wipe my used DE blade clean with my fingers so remainings of soap, stubbles and gunk won’t build up inside the little blade bank. I use a blade per shave, but still my Mühle blade bank can hold 150-200 blades, so the idea of having all sorts of gunk and bacteria build up inside the blade bank doesn’t suit my little disturbed OCD brain.

Living on the edge
Rinse under running water while carefully running thumb and forefinger across to remove debris.
Then drop it on a tissue to dry out.

I don't rinse them, but I do dry them...so I suppose I'm half crazy.

I used to remodel old houses, and one time, we tore out a subfloor wall, and guess what my laborer found??? Yes, about 80 years' worth of blades. That old codger must have been looney too, because they were all dry, and mostly un-rusted.

I nominate the old fool as founding member of the club, may he rest in peace.

I try to get the blade right in the bank. I used to wrap the blade in tissue then deposit it. One day I was cleaning up and I thought it was just tissue so I grabbed and crumbled it. Almost lost the tip of my finger. I did take a chunk out which luckily was still attached so I tucked it back in and it healed. Now I dry them and right the bank they go!!!

That's my thought. I hate the idea of a wet blade getting all gross in the bank.

Yeah, I can't seem to not do it. Looks like we started this about the same time. I'll be going on 13 years in a few months myself.

I usually just rinse the razor and I clean them as I dry with the toilet paper. My OCD brain reacts much the same way for the same reasons.

Ah shoot fire man, you made me cringe a little bit there. Lol
So cool to have feelings though even if it is a cringe thinking about a razor blade in your finger.

I don't bother because my blade bank is an old chicken broth can with a slot cut into it. Once it's full I'll just hammer the slot closed and toss it. Let 'em rust.

Me too. I usually just rinse the razor when I'm done and dry them with tissue. Occasionally I have to remove a little lather and stubble but not always. Good for the old codger, he has my vote!!!
