Alternatives to alum and styptic pencils?

Bottom line, I'm looking for a blood stopper other than an aluminum based product. I'm not particularly looking to debate the hazards of aluminum though. Is anyone using something other than alum and styptic pencils on weepers and nicks?

I know it likely seems stoneage but if I have a nick or weeper that I need to close up I most often just go old school, rip a tab of tissue and place on top until it stops. By the time I am dressed, typically good to go.

Remember seeing my Dad and Granddad doing the same as a kid. I am sure there are other things less "mechanical" but it works for me.

Ditto for me. Same thing I used to do until I discovered alum.

That's actually what I did for the the longest time. I was just curious if there was something else. Thanks!

Most of the time if it's just a small nick or weeper, a cold water rinse or aftershave splash will take care of it too.

That's not the case for me. Would that it were.

After I shave I cold water rinse then apply some Thayers Witch Hazel, I clear up and then apply a balm or splash by this point everything has cleared. Witch hazel is a light astringent anyway so as long as it's not a nasty gash you really don't need anything else. I did find when I was new that Proraso's gel worked very well.

Same, though I'm using Walmart witch hazel

Proraso makes a nick gel that might help, though I'm not sure on the ingredients :/

I just wet my finger and rub it over any nick/cut. if it's bad, I'll bust out the styptic pencil.

I cannot use an alum block...it sets my face on fire!!!!
