The good news: I'm finally able to start shopping for a used SUV, sub $8k

I've been trying to convince my mom to sell their Dodge Durango (and boat) since my dad passed away last year.  They only used the truck to tow their boat around Clearlake, and they haven't used the boat in a few years.  I'm not sure she'd be willing to trade it for soap...but I'll ask.

 definitely got a chuckle out of that one.

I shaved with GD Magnolia this morning, what a beautiful soap    I think its the basic Tallow formula.  It has the label the inside of the lid.  This probably the only GD soap scent that reminds me of another artisan's soap.  In this case its close to Bufflehead Velvet Ditch which is also beautiful.

I received the Kairos Lavender and L'Avventura today. I've had a fair number of other GD soaps and samples, and they all performed wonderfully but the scents were never really my cup of tea. That's probably my own fault for having too many scent notes I dislike... I also don't like most B&M soaps and many others that my fellow enthusiasts love.

This time I am happy to say I think I'm two for two! The lavender is the nicest one I've smelled. Not at all "eau de laundry detergent" like some. It's got a spicy almost anise-like note to it. And L'Avventura is a lovely fougere with a nice balance of green, floral and woody. Well done Mo! Can't wait to see how they change when lathered.

Taking a quick break from packing, 2 more days, and I'm done! This was the largest GD release ever! Very complicated releasing soaps and other things at the same time. But now I can afford a car and a storage space. Thank you for your business. I'm gonna get hella organized for the upcoming massive Mallard release.

DesertJake I'm delighted you like the Lavender and L'Avventura scents. I'll say more about those scents later on. But yeah, the Lavender is out of this world magnificent

Two orders, two bad experiences. First was a tub of Mallard that smelled like a slaughterhouse, then a tub of Amare via Italian Barber last month which won't lather. $60 spent and received nothing usable. Unacceptable in these strange economic times.

I don't think I can receive PM's, but if anybody wants this tub of Amare (minus 2 scoops) just for shipping let me know.
