I got nothing on the mold. That’s inexcusable The scents I think we just don’t enjoy the same types of things.
I love b&m excelsior, but the entire reserve line smells like old man.
I also wear a lot of niche perfumes and enjoy scents outside of designer and department store brands.
If your dog shits and it smells like Coal by Andrea Mack, or TF oud wood intense, send it my way.

None of the Reserve have ever been accused of smelling like shit/mold/etc.
Niche fragrances don't impress me so, you're right, we have different tastes.
Let me guess, you like Chatillon Lux too?

That is correct - the reserve line does not literally smell like feces, but it might as well. It’s just not for me...but that’s not what I was talking about.
And no, I don’t like CL aside from YRP
Are there any contemporary artisans you enjoy aside from Wills work at b&m?

From a scent standpoint, probably not.
I honestly wish artisan soapmakers would just stay straight and not get too creative on scents.
...Master the basics first, like really WOW me with a basic scent bc you've made it better with better ingredients
... then go explore a little if you want, but make sure there are roots in reality.
And I should have mentioned, I don't think the Reserve scents are incredible, but they're not offensive either. Not a huge fan of Lavender (again, not offensive though). Cool I'm kinda over (that's my fault). Spice is decent, and I haven't smelled Waves enough to judge or get tired of. Fern is a little too bright for me but otherwise a good scent... I really wish it wasn't so bright though.
