gone to Carolina in my mind
Thanks to a kind member, I got a generous sample of Aion today, and had a glorious shave with it this evening.  The scent is very nice to my nose, stronger in the sample jars (which were densely packed and filled to the brim), and more moderate in the bowl.  The scent is without doubt a nice treat for me, but performance is a must-have, and Aion did not disappoint there.

I took a chance and skipped a test lather, spread out 2.5 grams in a bowl, and added water in stages, eventually amounting to 10.0 milliliters.  The lather looked ready to go, although I thought - and still think - it might have taken more water.  I also think 2.0 grams would have been enough, as I had more lather than I needed.  I plan to use 2.0 grams next time, at least to start.  In any case, today's lather performed beautifully.  It was very slick, and I got a BBS shave with no blood and no irritation afterwards.

Most people reading this know that one shave is never conclusive.  Sometimes things improve; other times they deteriorate.  But given that caveat, I am cautiously, but very hopefully optimistic.  I think I should also mention that I went ahead and purchased Aion earlier today.  Being the nice guy that I am, and not wanting that poor little Aion jar to get lonely in the package, I snagged a jar of Luxor to keep it company.  These are the first GDept products I have purchased since July, and I am looking forward to shaving with them.

Not just the different fragrances, but the soap bases underneath, just nasty.
I have no stake in it either, I gave away or threw away the 5 soaps.
Damn, I would have sent $ for postage to my crib, you throwing anything else away Nero!!

Mo is a good chap. Had some soap issues and had some really long email convos with him. I'm kind of curious about his serum.

Can't attest to forthcoming serum but V1 was superiour to Sebum Original (Gold) in my experience.

Being kind and liked personally does not mean you have a product that doesn't smell terrible. I've received several PMs from guys who have sided with me on this issue.

It's really annoying to see people who ignore this, and sweep it under the rug.

How many formulas have had a terrible smell in the base? How many times are you gonna let that slide and post superlative positive reviews that CONVINCE OTHERS to WASTE THEIR MONEY. Is that ethical? No, it's not.

And no, I'm not talking about a subjective scent... I'm saying they smell rancid. Think spoiled milk or worse.

Thank god you’re here. What a fantastic service you’re providing for your fellow man. We need more men(?) like you with solid moral footing. I only wish I knew WHERE to spend my money instead!

My dog just took a dump, maybe I can send it to you since you like terrible scents. What's your address? I can overnight it.

Then you can tell everyone I sell a great product!!!
