I forgot to mention Luxor which is really nice both in scent and performance  Happy2

It still amazes me how differently, different people can perceive the same scent.  I mean its the same scent molecules entering our noses yet a totally different sensory experience.  Its like we're different species or something - genetic variants perhaps? Thirteen?  What a thing this sense of smell.

Definitely try Aion for the performance alone. It’s a pretty light and woody scent that’s inoffensive and pairs well with many aftershaves. I enjoy the scent and it’s grown on me.

Ingress smells great on and off the puck. Green apples are the big note I get.

Maleki has a rose, oud, musk scent that’s also pretty light-mid that I’d also recommend.

Luxor smells somewhat “soapy” off the puck but it opens up with some fruit notes after lathering. It’s also great.

Hope some of that is helpful.
I have Charbon (haven't used it yet) but hoping the scent opens up when shaving as I barely pick up anything off the puck

Funny that upon my first use of Charbon, I did not like the scent. Upon my second use a week later, I liked the scent. After my third use, I placed it in my top 10 favorite scents.

My point is that you shouldn’t throw away a soap if you don’t initially like it. Your scent preferences my evolve with time, exposure and additional knowledge of the ingredients.

We need a Grooming Dept swap page! I have several GD soaps which the scent did not work for me and I'm sure many others are in the same boat. A good trade is better than a sale IMO.

I’m looking for a Lemon Bay and I’m willing to trade a Mandarin Bay for it.

What GD scents do you "universally" recommend?
There seems to be a long list of people who have tried hard to find a GD scent that isn't offensive (from the soap base and/or fragrance). I'm one of them. Had 5 soap scents and they were all so bad that I've used them for zero shaves. No other brand has that track record.
(Probably a topic that deserves its own thread by now.)
Laundry has always peaked my interest, but I'll find out soon. Hopefully it actually smells like laundry. All of my other grooming department soaps are unscented which is a win-win for me

It smells exactly like fresh laundry that's been hanging on the line outside. Reminds me of my childhood. The scent combined with the performance makes it a favorite of mine.

That sounds refreshing. Might have to try it!
(Unfortunately, that's what I thought when I purchased Soap.)

If a product smells like feces or vomit or burnt hair, according to you, it's not a bad scent. Just a YMMV thing. Right?
