I know that many of you have been wondering what the status is on your orders of soaps and other products. Some of you have even reached out to Mohammad and failed to get a reply. Such behavior is not normal for him. I was finally able to reach Mo. Here is what I learned.

For the past several days, Mohammad has had problems with one of his eyes. He is experiencing significant eye pain in that eye. He sent me a selfie of his eye; it is not pretty.
He went to the emergency room, but they told him he needed to see an eye specialist. He has an appointment scheduled for Tuesday. He is unable to drive, so he  will get a cab to take him to the post office to ship orders tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 27. I am not certain what he is doing with the UPS orders like mine. Hopefully, UPS will pick up.

Hopefully, we will see movement in the orders over the next few days.

Please keep Mohammad in your thoughts and prayers. This entire situation has been difficult for him.

Ray

Soooo when buyers were told that USPS was picking up all the packages last Monday, and last Wednesday, that wasn’t actually happening?

Hmmm, sounds to me like

1. Could have been avoided if he actually had the soaps and splashes on hand before opening his website to orders.

2. Given point 1, even if he was a 1 man operation, doesn't take this much time to ship parcels.

He has been in the business for last 7 years if not more and business is definitely looking up for GD /Aion Skincare.

Why not hire a helping hand just to take care of the deliveries if not the actual soap making?

It is my understanding that all the soaps and splashes were available and ready to ship before Black Friday. The issue was that when Mo used one of the final product in his own bathroom, he discovered that the labels provided by the printer were not waterproof. He did not want to ship product and have people complain that the ink was bleeding on the labels. Unfortunately, it took several weeks  to get the labels reprinted with the year end holidays. The new labels were not received until January.

At that point Mo had to relabel hundreds of jars of soap and bottles of aftershave. That took a lot longer than anticipated. As he neared the point of shipping orders, he started having inflammation in his right eye.

As for hiring someone to help with shipping, training a new employee might well have taken longer than doing it himself. However, I do agree that Mohammad needs help. I have made that point in discussions with him on multiple occasions.

No. My order is shipping UPS as well. It still shows nothing received. I wrote Mohammad yesterday evening. I have not heard back. I will post when I do.

Very fair point and everyone who ordered on Black Friday has the right to be angry over the delay. I talk to Mo quite a bit. Probably no one is as disappointed about all this than he is.  Before the drop,  i noticed he was thrilled about being able to ship everything on time- he made it a point to say that. Until he noticed the labels were wrong after he had used a jar of his own. He decided not ship them until correcting the labels- this was the right move. I think the vast majority of his customers are understanding, but there will always be some who won't be, and that's perfectly understandable as there are tons of excellent soaps available out there that will ship fast- and none of them will be as good as Mo's- just my personal opinion. Luckily we have lots of alternatives, but I'll still back Mo because he's a good honest person and he makes the best soap you can buy.
