So, if I wanted to try one, which I do, where are you guys who have them getting blades from? Are they still making them or are the NOS blades that you're getting from Ebay or something? Just a little confused on this and wanted some clarification before I decide to jump in and try one. Thanks Smile

Shawn you can find new Schick-branded injector blades pretty easily: various vendors on Amazon have them, or from Drugstore.com, or I think even Walgreens online. Some folks still find them at local drugstores, but I haven't looked yet.

You can also get new Personna injector blades from Ted Pella, I believe. Supply Provisions, which is about to ship their modern, stainless-steel injector, is also selling the Personnas.

FWIW, I just started checking out injectors this past month, and I'm already quite impressed. I started with an E-2 type, and just had my first shave with an I-2 "Hydromagic" this morning. Great shave! (I've been using the Schick-branded blades mentioned above.)

Thanks onethinline Smile

So, basically these then?

I'll make sure to look up the others you suggested as well!

Oh, would these Kai ones work as well? Smile

Yep Shawn, the ones you linked to on Amazon are the Schick ones I was referring to.

Those Kai blades you found are too long for an injector razor; they're designed for Feather Artist Club style razors (and can be used in the Cobras or the Mongoose). I think they can be cut down to work in an injector, as some folks do this with Feather Artist Club Pro blades (which are the same format). But out-of-the-box, no, those Kais are not for injectors.

Perfect, thanks again onethinline

Ah, that's too bad, I like Kai. And I think if I tried to cut the blade down to fit I'd cut myself instead ha

Hate to add any new nonsense when it comes to blades and razors, but this morning I tried a Feather Pro light razor blade- cut down with a pair of sheet metal cutters and the shave was beyond anything I could possibly imagine. Smooth, easy, and no blood letting. Why, I have no idea. I read about that English guy who figured this attack at whiskers out and decided maybe he had something. And, I can conclude now he really does!! The shave with a Chick injector blade is damn good, but the cut down Feather blade is more than that for sure!!! I used a Schick Hydro-Magic razor. And, my 68 yr old arthritic hands managed to handle the blade cutting and installation without any blood. Didn't take more than 30 seconds?Care must be taken but it isn't brain surgery either. No more danger than the old opening can with the provided key idea! Can you sharpen your kitchen knives? The shaving was so quick I was amazed. No burn, no nothing!! The result was the very, very best. I have shaved with the very best D/E razors and many other S/E razors, and this was equal to the very best that I have ever used!!! Easier and quicker too!! And, other than missing the sword like handling of my D/E razors and blades, the heft, the weight, the idea?, I have to admit the S/E cut down Feather razor blade shave, was truly superior. The best IMHO!!! That's my story and I am unanimous in my opinion of it!!! WOW, is what I say!!! Truly WOW and what FUN!!!

The best source for the Personna PTFE coated injector blades that I've found is Connaught. Got 100 for arrive $25 including shipping to the US. I haven't tried the Chinese Schicks so I can't compare, but the Personnas work great for me and last 10-15 shaves.
