+1

A nice INCI (on paper Trinity base is even better than Stirling), a big jar (5.8oz), a good price ($3/oz).
I like them ... and other people too!!!

Unfortunatelly looks like all soaps are sold out at the moment.

Thanks for sharing.

No problem! I'd never heard of them until the razor company started stocking it. The first time I looked, the scent seemed nice but I figured I didn't need any more soaps. Second time I glanced at the ingredients and was impressed, especially for the price and volume. Looked up a few reviews, and as you stated, everyone seems to like it a lot. Now the long wait until the sample arrives! If all is well, I definitely plan on buying a full size soap. Possibly in a few of their scents once they come out in the trinity base.

Samples arrived quickly. Jon tossed in a sample of "White Buffalo" along with the "Flannel Shirt" that I had purchased. Both soaps smell great, with the flannel shirt being my favorite. The white buffalo is more of a spicy powdery scent, that reminds me of old spice. The soaps are on the firmer side of soft... easily scoopable with a finger, but firm enough to lather from the tub without overloading. I test lathered the flannel shirt before my shower, but didn't shave since I need to shave tomorrow morning. The soap started out a little foamy but after adding some water became more dense and creamy. It is a thirsty soap that can take a lot of water before breaking down. I had the lather darn near dripping and it still had good protection. Ill need to play with the ratio to see what shaves the best tomorrow. It seemed to be slightly lacking slickness, but my only test was wiping a wet finger on my face. Ill figure more out tomorrow and post another update!

First shave was great! I scooped an almond size glob from the sample tub and smooshed it into the bottom of my copper captains choice bowl. I loaded a little longer then last night with a damp brush, and didn't get the foamy stage. Generously added water to get a nice hydrated lather. It was plenty slick regardless of what I thought last night. The lather seemed to dry quickly from a shiny sheen to a matte looking foam, indicating it was going to dissipate, but it never did. Regardless of how it looked, it shaved just like a nice hydrated lather throughout. Post shave was excellent, and my face has felt great all day. I did use ZM balm for a post shave due to it being a cold winter day, but my face feels more moisturized then after using some of my other soaps. Second impressions are promising! I'll continue to use the sample for awhile and continue to update with my thoughts.

It's the best part of low water soaps.
Less soap, more water and work, high yield.
And great post-shave feeling.

Main reason I do not like formulas with water as first ingredient.
Cool

AQU yup! I've used about half of my sample tub. Its a good performing soap, but lacks a bit slickness wise in my opinion. Plenty slick to offer a good shave, but lacks compared to some of the other "top tier" artisans. The scents are nice, and the post shave is great. For the price and amount of soap you get, I think its a good deal.
