That's a 300g block of Marseilles soap, 72% Olive Oil. When I lived in France for a year, I did as the locals, and used this for almost everything-shampooing, even shaving!. Many years later, I learned Charles Robert's method, and that was the soap base for his shaving mix. I always keep a couple around-it's great for washing the face (and the occasional traditional Method shave) and if I'm shaving at a time when I'm not just out of the shower, I'll give my face a good washing with this-I'll sometimes even use a shaving brush to make a soapy lather to do that-feels great.
