Smooth Saturday
Go Green Go White - hopefully my team can bounce back from a dreadful performance last week to beat Iowa!
The shave was comfortable, but I did get some redness after, perhaps I'm still getting used to the scrubbiness of the boar. Or, maybe this Astra SP aged too quickly. loaded more this time, but still not enough for three passes. YRP is a nice compliment to Port au Prince. I noticed a vetiver cologne at Bath and Body Works yesterday - they are really expanding their Bigelow line. I didn't buy it, but I might at some point.
Prep: Chatillon Lux Butter
Soap: Stirling Port au Prince
Brush: Stirling Boar
Razor: Rockwell 6s R6
Blade: Astra SP ???
AS: Chatillon Lux YRP
Beard: Black Hatchet All-purpose Balm
- Eufros Kasbah
- El Druida Manchurian
- Gillette Mach 3
- Tüff Classic
Colder temperatures made me feel like reaching for this Kasbah and Tüff Classic. Back to the rich, warm and complex scents of colder weather products. In fact I was a bit tired of citrus and menthol, so I have enjoyed this shave quite a bit. The Mach 3, even compared to the Fusion, is still my mildest razor, nonetheless, I consider the Fusion a step above in efficiency. Great three pass shave and I barely felt the alcohol sting of the splash, even after three passes including an ATG pass. Having learned the basics of proper shaving with my classic razors has paid off. Now I can enjoy the advantages of multiblades, and have fun with my classics. Tomorrow, in fact, I'll be shaving with one of my classic razors.
