Sudsy Soapery has a unique post shave feel for me, maybe it's the clay in the formula that leaves me so smooth. This was my first use of the Stirling Boar brush and I realize that I need to learn the best ways to use it. I'm used to synthetics, and the amount of soap load needed, so I'll need to adjust that a bit, as well as how much pressure to use when face lathering. This one has already softened up nicely after soaking for 12 hours, and it will only get better. There was no funky smell on this brush. The handle is very well done - it feels comfortable and solid in the hand.
