I didn't spend a lot, it was only one soap... But I broke my restraint... again. I'm no good at this "self control" thing, I guess.

I fully get it, as like Eric (
ewk) I have had that happen several times over the last few years.
And recall what
Dave in KY wrote back a few pages, "Restraint is attempted for different reasons but each person. Mine wasn't for fiscal reasons but a slowing of ridiculous shave spending. The correction I know has already helped my view on what future purchases should be so I don't go crazy again. Never intended to halt buying items in life. Again, I know you were joking but thought I'd just highlight what my goal was which I feel was successful in getting a reset in mindful/thinking of purchases rather than automatic mindless buying." (
Post #162) You had some great thoughts there as well.
And I stick by my assertion (to myself, as I can't speak for anyone else!), all things in moderation is better than buying all the things I see. As Mike
HighSpeed has shown us in his reflections on buying,
Love People, Use Things Because the Opposite Never Works, which is a book by Millburn and Nicodemus. Use your things to help you recover so you can love your people, including you! (Okay, I think I am getting too touchy feely! I hope you get what I mean without any naval gazing while holding ridiculous yoga poses!)
