I think he caters to a lot of very affluent users in Germany, Italy etc...at least thats the vibe I get from his Insta page.
These are the Ferrari set who will pay anything for stuff they love.
My love however is not unconditional.

At 960 Euro, the only rational argument I can muster is that this one razor basically gives you half a dozen
wolfman level razors in one sleek package.

I understand that and you make my point as you rationalize it's perceived worth.

I couldn’t justify buying this razor at €450 - I will continue to admire from a far.

I love this hobby but the engineering and design isn’t ground breaking - most true innovations were struck 50-100 years ago.

I think it’s time for Razorock to start working on a high end SS adjustable.

Going by pics on his site, seems the €620 razor comes with a stand....the
€950 does not.

So $670 gets you a stand with your razor but not for $1030? That should be the other way around, right? Crazy stuff right there!!

I hope his continuous price increase helps me to sell my sailor razors easily. I currently have 4 sailors, I wanna keep only 2020.

I am a big fan of the Sailor. But $1000 for essentially the same razor I already have is not happening. Collection be damned. Not sure how many new users you would get in that price range either. Buying blind would be hard to do, especially since resale on these things seem to be done at a loss in most cases I've seen.

Dave is right tho....as long as he sells everything he makes, there is no incentive to keep the costs down. I do wish Murat continued success tho. The razors are great.

Minor changes to an existing design don't do anything for me. I was really hoping we would see something new this year. I'd love a Ti Sailor but am now scared to see the price tag.

Agreed. Maybe resale will get better now. I am in the same boat as you, the 2020 has been on my counter for many months and is the only one I've used in quite a while. The others are kinda redundant.

You make a good point as I had not even thought about what a titanium would run now....

Guys, I finally got my Tapatalk account fixed and back up and running. Catching up on all the threads that I am subscribed to. I have my collection of Sailors up to 2021 Master Series and I won’t spend money on another one until I see some use of titanium. I did purchase the first titanium razor he made which is the new Elite series. I know it was offered to LOOT first and he passed on it and offered it to me next. LOOT and I seem to always be in line for #1 and #2 which is awesome! Murat has started making a Sailor that will be a combo of titanium and steel to start. He has finished the handle which is all titanium from what he said. I am very interested in this one depending on the weight and balance so we shall see!
