Living on the edge
No excuses being made here for the manufacturer...but adjustables can be likened
(ever so slightly) to watches with complications.

However, the level of incidents here is noticeable.

I think people who got earlier batches of this razor are not affected. 2022 seems like a troublesome
year in the MC's evolution.

Rocnel really needs to have an instruction manual that explains how this shit works.

Well, then I shaved with it and when I loosened it to remove the blade… it just fell right out again. I guess I’ll try a bit more force to tighten the ball bearing, but, boy, this is nuts.
But how was the shave??

that's the exact opinion I have. with my mild OCD (clinically diagnosed!), not having 'Sailor' centered would drive me absolutely f*cking insane....especially for a high end razor like with Rocnel.

I’m with you. The sad thing is I really enjoy the shave and I waited quite a while to get what I thought would be the best model so far and be of Wolfman quality and it’s obvious that it’s not and there’s definitely a QC issue. I’ve only had it long enough for one shave ( 2nd today ) and my OCD is already kicking in pretty badly the more I look at it. I got mine through my buddy Jason at The Razor Company and I can tell you he was not aware of the issues with the razor. So no blame on him.

Got pics to share?

I hate it for you guys. I have a brand new MC that, to my eye, is perfect. #44 is going to be shipped to Phil at Bullgoose. I should have it out tomorrow. I posted pictures of it a few pages back showing alignment.

I am sure, if one were industrious, he could coordinate an exchange with Phil and Murat for their off center specimen.

It sounds like there are now 2 MCs that would fit the bill here on DFS. Not sure how to work that out...but maybe half of you would be happy.

That would be nice if possible. I’ll take a photo in the morning sunlight as my lighting is very yellowish at night.  Not sure if Phil would exchange a razor that he didn’t sell to me.

Here’s mine. Top photos with a blade in it. I’ll have to ask.. is this normal?

There is no serial # on the razor. Is that something that has to be requested?
Sorry guys for all the questions, I’ve been pretty much out of the mix for various reasons.

Your alignment with adjustment knob looks spot on. The script 'Sailor' is slightly off center to the left.

If there are no numbers on the medallion then I am lead to believe this might be the standard (standart) version as opposed to the MC.

Standard version has serial number on the medallion, too.
The ring is shining, I think it is gold plated and it is MC. Mostly medallion says what it is.

That looks pretty damned good to me. Is Sailor to the left? If it is, you have to lay it flat and seek it out. It looks like the middle of the I and L are centered on the head. I don't know where the center of the logo is but center of I and L makes sense to me. The S is capitalized, hence larger. Maybe the big S is pulling the eye to the left? I dunno. I would run it.
