That’s good info. Seems like there is good reason to get the standard razor with stand at USD 540. I’m sure the other enhancements for the MC series are worth the price too, but there is a significant difference, which wasn’t as much the case for the 2021 editions.
What is the "significant differences" between the 2022 standard Sailor and MC? For the 2021, the handle length was different and I sure like the longer handle

Not now, apparently. Website shows sold out.
What that means is Phil just clocked 10 grand.
and that Rocnel is hot (but we here already knew that!)

Adjusting for the weight of the medallion (6.664g ) on the MC, with the slightly greater thickness of the walls on the 2022 by comparison, I'd guess it's within a hair of the weight of the MC (mine is 142.5g), a heft I've actually come to like.
My guess is 139.9 grams for the 2022.

And assuming a 20% markup, a couple of grand in the till, variable either way. If he spent a day or so lining this up and eats the shipping, Phil works hard for his money methinks....

I meant there’s a significant difference in the price. So it isn’t automatic that the 2022 MC is a better buy than the regular one.

Personally, I will take my chances on it, sight unseen and likely would if I owned none simply because I think it would be easier to trade down than up. Production numbers alone would seem to support that argument. Right?
All speculation for now. I guess we wait until he releases some pictures.
