Paid online on the WU site (https://www.westernunion.com/us/en/home.html) and it was very easy - just used a CC. I'm in the US.

Seen some literature on WU site talking about 0$ transfer fee...bet its contingent on some bullshit T&Cs.
Will find out tomorrow.

I think the key to make this possible online may be to make sure that the 'Receive amount' is also in USD. It prompts you to do so if you want the receiving party to be able to do a cash pickup, but it is easy to miss. This does kick the transfer fee up but it is still cheaper than what I paid at the local grocery store that I visited to do this. If you don't take this option to make the 'Receive amount' in USD, then you have to enter in the transfer/bank code information and you are basically out of luck. I missed this when I visited the site and it would have saved me the inconvenience of going to the local WU office at the store, and about $20 over what I paid in fees.

Murat sometimes uses his friend's paypal account for Rocnel sale.
If you would like to purchase through Paypal, ask him.. He might give you a Paypal address.

You'll just need Murat's contact info for WU -  he can be reached at info@rocnel.com or IG.  Once the funds (in USD) are transferred you'll receive a tracking number from WU (MTCN) that you'll then send him to pick up the funds.  Sounds complicated but actually isn't.

From what I understand, one can transfer money in USD or Euro, whatever, but what he gets at the other end is the Turkish Lira equivalent,
according to the day's rate....I dont think they hand over US$ bills to him

Correct, but as someone mentioned, using the WU website you must select USD (or Euros) for receiver payment rather than TL (which is an option) in order for a cash pickup.  Selecting TL for payment requires a bank account number on the receiving end, which you won't have.

So glad I figured this out now. Thanks guys! My fee was only $16 and it was extremely painless doing it through the WU App. As stated above, you must choose US$ to US$ for the transfer and for Murat to be able to do a cash pick up.

CORRECTION: This is inaccurate...we have the option to choose USD (690), Euro (570) or Turkish Lire (5,800)
and he withdraws the money in the currency we choose.

From the US, WU would not allow me to do a cash pickup transfer online using TL - it requested a bank account number, as reported by another member.  You CAN transfer it in TL as an online selection (at least in my case), but WU then only permitted it to be sent to a bank account (which Murat did not provide).  Using USD only required a name and phone number, and forwarded a tracking number to be used for pickup.
