I won't touch the first question or two.
When I got my 2021 I was in the habit of sink washing my lather off and I got a little bit of rattle on the top cap when I shook some of the water off.
After messaging Phil at Bullgoose and him passing it down to the maker Murat, this doesn't concern me one bit anymore it is a non-issue.
I don't know if that was something you were referring to or not.
   Very nice well made razor.

Fair question. I dont think it is a premium, really. The 2020S was $690ish with no stand and I think some came without the presentation case. The 2021 was $490ish without a stand but included a case. (My recollection, I could be wrong on some fine points)

The MC is $690 with a stand and case. It also appears to be better finished. Price seems in-line to me, I guess.

As to QC, I am sure there have been issues. I know of a few myself. It doesn't stop me from buying. Returning a dud to Turkey is a let down but I would imagine refunds/exchanges were offered. QC issues would/should definitely be a consideration. Buying from Bullgoose in a dud situation would make it much more palatable to the buyer.

I think you run the risk with QC issues no matter who the maker is. Thrown in the complexity of an adjustable design and I bet it goes up a bit too.

Mistakes are made, inevitably. The response is the important part to me.

I think some minor QC issues, in certain instances, adds to the character, albeit rarely the case. For instance, my 2021 Prototype has a GLARING cosmetic issue. The grind on the top cap is askew. You gotta look hard to see it but it is there. I accepted the flaw, it is a Prototype tho. I would probably accept it in a production model of 200 pieces too.

Heck, the Janus was only a run of 50 only handled by the "master " and it was a disaster. My humble opinion.

If the MC comes in jacked up, I might be pissed. I will be professional and let the return/repair process work, but I likely wouldn't accept it. Then again, there is that character thing.

These are just cosmetic issues tho. Mechanical issues gets into a whole new discussion.

As with any major purchase, do your due diligence, weigh the risks/rewards, and proceed accordingly. Only you can decide how much risk you are willing to take.

Ultimately, I ended up sending money via Western Union, so  I'm on the list for the September shipment.

FWIW my WU fee was $56.

P.S.
I've been a bit of a lurker for quite some time.  Couldn't resist posting on this topic.

Welcome! is this your first experience with the sailor, or adjustables in general? My fee was only 16$ NY to Turkey. I would've paid 56 happily considering sailor is my favorite razor.

Thank you.  This will be my first experience with the sailor, and the adjustable razor, in general.  Taking the deep plunge right away.  My current razors of choice in my rotation are the WR1 and WR2.  Rather than opt for another Wolfman, I thought this time around I'd take my RAD urge along a different path.
Smart man.

I have been playing around with some other razors, and anyone who knows me knows I sell off razors to keep my collection under some control, so I thought about selling my Rocnel 21. I always do a final shave with a razor before I do a final soaking in Barbicide and list it. Last night I used the 21 with a 7th use Poland Polsilver and it isn’t going anywhere. First pass at 4, 2nd at 3 and touch up on 2 and I was BBS that lasted until this afternoon. This truly is a remarkable razor IMHO, I can use it as a Daily driver or when on vacation I can tackle a 5 day beard with no issue. Don’t know what I was thinking but it is back on my rack. I also have no rattling with mine when loaded with a blade and locked down.

I've never been accused of that before, but thank you.  I will say it sure makes the decision a whole lot easier when you don't have to do the mental gymnastics of trying to decide on the gap size when ordering for either the WR1 or WR2.  In my case, I am pretty happy with the sizes I currently have with both my Wolfman WR1 and WR2, so would likely be faced with merely tweaking it a bit, or going for a size dramatically different from what I have.  So, why not try a quality adjustable where you can tweak to your heart's content?  That was my thinking.  The weight might take some getting used to but I think I'll be able to adjust.  The few reviews that I have read/seen seem to report that it is a well-balanced razor.

And in my experience, you are more likely to get a well made, well fitted, and well finished product that has been personally touched by the maker, whether razors, knives, guns or cars, with the maker's personal reputation at risk, than you are from an assembly line. Even a short, exclusive assembly line.

sadly I had to cancel my Master edition, no longer able to pay by bank western union takes about a 10% fee and then there is customs to be paid, too expensive for me but hey I have a 2020 & 2021 so I'm good. (customs are evil, can you imagine if I buy a product of €1 outside of Europe they charge me €17,32 extra).

No worries my friend. "As one door closes, another one opens". Your time will come. I see a Titanium Sailor in the not so distant future for you.

Your decision is totally understandable, considering your circumstances.  Sounds like you are already loaded for bear, though, which is good to hear.

Question regarding the 'Master Collection/Edition'. I've already made it clear that I've transferred funds for this razor, which makes me happily committed to this purchase, but I am still curious. Just for my personal edification, why do folks refer to this particular model as the 'Master Collection/Edition'? I get that it is different than the initial release but I don't see any reference to this terminology in the YouTube link. Did Murat communicate this somewhere else? Thank you in advance.
