A very smooth & efficient shave was had in 2 passes and completely drama free. Started on IV and ended on II on the second and final pass. This thing is killer on the ATG pass and is one of the best that I’ve experienced. Maybe 2, perhaps 3 razors in my den can match it but, don’t know if they’re better though. I’m going to let a few days go by and turn this thing loose on 2-3 days growth. Wonderful evening and shaves to all….

The Rocnel Sailor is simply and undeniably in its own class. My first shave with the Sailor 21 was stupendous. I accomplished a beautiful BBS and I can’t stop touching my face, it’s soo smooth.

1- WTG- I put it straight to 4. I swapped the Feather asap, and inserted my 11th use PolSilver. This PolSilver blade is like the Energizer bunny it keeps going and going. This first pass mowed down my 72 hour beard with ease. It is so well balanced. I am fathomed because it is a hefty razor but in use it actually feels lighter than its actual weight, which I believe is 138g or so. Because of the balance and short handle it feels more nimble than I was expecting. This is a great surprise since I have been enjoying lately my polished Vector. No drama and utterly smooth. Ok, what is the downside?

Not enough left after the 1st pass, lol. 4 is so efficient, And it was a breeze, I felt like I was on cruise control.

2- Across the Grain-  For a moment I forgot that the Rocnel Sailor was an adjustable, mind lapse. After 2 long strokes, I relathered the GD Mumtaz, a seductive scent. I dropped the Sailor to 3. What a pleasure this razor is to use. This razor is luxurious, and Murat produced a fine and special tool. This pass was so enjoyable, less blade feel but same efficiency like 1st pass. Nothing left, maybe some touch-ups. I am BBS by 2 passes. I was thinking, if this razor is to be Elite, I must test it in my Gold Standard pass - ATG

3- Against the Grain - It gave me a BBS that is on another level. The geometry makes it very easy to find the angle. Amazing for buffing.

— This raZor is like the Michael Schumacher, Michael Jordan, Roger Federer or Michael Phelps of All Razors. The RS 21 is truly special, and I really dig the look.

I can confidently say that this is my best purchase of 2021 thus far. I know it’s premature after one shave but I wanted to share my positive thoughts.  Is it worth it?? - For me - Absolutely!!!

found the new opgress stand to be superb for the sailor 2021 model
and some weight and size to it
also has a removable stud measuring 4.9mm
ideally the sailor is almost 6mm dia. hole  size in base of handle-
-so me I am off to machine  and mirror polish a close fitting stud in 316l for mine-

Up to now I used Wizamets at setting #2 #4 #6; GSB #4-#5 and Voskhod #4.

Wizamets and GSB are my favorite blades, but I got better shave with Voskhod.
It is a milder blade, but at setting #4 I got two pass BBS, and it was noticeably smoother.
Next I will try Israeli blades: Crystal, Personna Red, Satinex etc..
