Both boxes are very luxurious. 

My father only had Nodachi, but lately he is shaving once or twice a week. 
Nodachi clogged easily when he had a week growth.  He was releasing the handle to increase efficiency. 
He received Rocnel a week before me, he really like it at setting #4. 
He said the efficiency increased a lot over Nodachi, and Rocnel didn't clog.  
He found Rocnel #4 had more blade feel, but it didn't bother him, He found the razor very comfortable. 
He didn't find the razor heavy, since he got used to Nodachi (110 grams). It is a great upgrade. 

I tried the razor first time yesterday. I tried multiple settings #2, #4, #6.
Initial thoughts: 
#2 has minimal blade feel, but still efficient. It is a nice mild setting.
Efficiency increased clearly at #4. Some blade feel. Still very comfortable.   
#6 has slightly more blade feel than #4, but it is still very smooth. And I don't need more efficiency, but will try higher settings for fun.
Even #4 efficiency might be enough for me, but I can easily use it at #6. 
I need to get more shaves, but I can easily call this is an excellent razor. 
I like thick handle a lot.

Used my Rocnel 2021 this morning 5-2 settings 
. What I did today was setting 5 the first pass.  after the first pass I dialed differently for specific areas.
 I ended up on 2 on some very sensitive against the grain areas, worked great!
   Funny thing is most adjustables I just put in one number and leave it

I would pick the wooden box any day....have some pretty high end watches that came in boxes like the
blue one...with faux leather...my hot and humid weather turns them to shit.

Glad you guys are liking it. Setting 4 has been my favorite thus far and like others, I'm having a hard time putting it down.

I've gotten away from Feathers in it because they can be tuggy and the razor doesn't benefit from extra sharpness, just open the gap a hair more and run a smoother blade. Green Astra and GSBs have been working exceptionally well in my Sailors.

My favs are GSBs and Wizamets. They worked well with many razors. I rarely use Feathers and KAI.
