For fun, I made a rendition.

Every year, we get to see some sort of change, some tweaks here and there, whether stylistically or for functional reasons.

Of course I don't know what Murat has in store for the future, but it would make sense that he would continue with a similar design language.

What I've shown here is to include a lather channel that flows all the way through to give it a clean and sleek look.  I've also included the tapered dial-knob from this year's Sailor.  Sort of like a hybrid from the last 2 versions.  Hope you guys like it.

This is awesome!!!

Thank you!!

Ok i was just talking to one of my shave buddies and I said should I post the long term results of my Rocnel Sailor vs Ikon Tech WTG pass and reverse WTG pass BBS shave that not only did the Sailor match the Ikon in accomplishing the goal but was much smoother doing it.

Well I’d like to report the Rocnel on setting 7 didn’t just match the Ikon record it absolutely smashed it.. The shave lasted 16 hrs! The Ikons lasted 9 hrs.

I mean come on..16 hrs on two WTG passes. Unreal in my opinion. I’m thinking out loud here but imagine if I did WTG, XTG and ATG passes. Ive always categorized my BBS shaves either a Level 1, 2 and the ultimate, a Level 3 but I’m thinking could there be a level 4 out there? If so I think this razor could be the one to take me there.

Honestly you’ve asked me twice now rawfox1 Andrew so here’s my answer, yes I can now say it with confidence that the Sailor is now # 1 in my den.
It’s kind of like having a good sized collection of various different razors in just one razor it’s that good in my opinion.

I don’t know if Murat checks this thread but if he does I’d like to say to him “ sir you made a masterpiece of a razor IMHO. So thank you!

Ok I’ll shut up now!

I think at setting 5 the Sailor cuts closer than anything ive ever tried, including that Ikon. And you can run the Sailor as high a double dot! Ive not tried the '21 that high, yet, but I have the '20.

Despite its weight and scale, the Sailor is a spectacular shaver. Easy to replace an entire den of WR2s with one very sexy Sailor and have more headroom above a 165 than any man should use. And save yourself the trouble of identifying your Goldilocks gap. No fear, the Sailor assuredly has your gap.

I'm just glad some of you guys are finally aboard ship. Seems like the deck on the '20 model was much smaller and I didnt think the razor could get any better...but danged if it didn't.

The 2020 and 2021 are the best 2 razors in my den and at $500, the 21 is a steal.

I just want a Ti version in either configuration and would likely be willing to hand Murat a fat stack to get one.

It has been more fun for me to play with and collect Sailors than my Wolf den...and that was insanely fun to do.

I know people have thought I was a shill to hype Rocnel products but the performance easily matches my enthusiasm, I think.

They are shockingly good, imo. The tinkering with the dial could keep a man busy for quite a whole. Especially if you have an irregular shave schedule.

Not sure about Ti. I think the mass helps me with some trouble spots where lighter razors tend to skip or just hang up. This razor is a four wheeler - with big tires - and lotsa chrome - and a couple of bigass cupholders - and naked lady mud flaps. Wait. What forum is this?

Haha. Thasa good one...and I concur, its all that!

Interesting point on Ti. If we go by the 2020 size, a Ti version would still be around 100g.

I think you just described my truck minus all the chrome HAHA. But I agree Murat hit the mark with this one.

I’ll be honest, I thought I would like the new titanium Taiga better than the stainless one but the jury is still out on that one. I do think a titanium Sailor modeled after the 2020 beast would be awesome! Of course, anything Murat makes in an adjustable is going to be amazing at this point! I really think he just needs to focus on the Sailors and a new SE and leave the Elites alone. The Elite for me is not even worth it considering how many different versions of a shave you can get with a Sailor. I used 5 yesterday on a 2.5 pass shave and had 18 hours of stubble free face. To top it off, my mug felt like glass last night and this morning until about 9:30am!! Absolutely RIDONCULOUS!!

I've gone through a lot of Feathers and yesterday was my first dud. It felt like it had teeth. In hindsight I should of stopped and swapped it out instead of suffering through three uncomfortable passes.

Super shave today. I didn't experiment with different angles, I just let muscle memory take over and enjoyed the shave. Setting IV tomorrow.

Have a great day!
