By 2017 I had a decent little collection of some hard to get gear. I had also just kinda gotten over them and was just starting to dabble in modern razors.
Now, my modern adjustable collection is limited to the Sailor Series from Rocnel. As my Gillette interest waned in 2017, the Sailor was released, just in time! I've taken to collecting them now. Recently, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the 2021 #3 Prototype. I've gotten only 2 shaves in with it, but initial reaction is quite positive. If the 2020 is an adjustable WR2, the the 2021 is an adjustable WR1.
2021 has increased blade feel in the low gaps that is linear and consistent through the range. It's not quite as smooth in the upper gaps as the 2020, but its no 2019 on the face either.
The 2021 is well made. Well balanced. Still quite handsome like the 2020, and operates smoothly, just like I expected.
Even slimmed down by 40g or so from 2020, the 2021 still feels substantial. A lot of that loss in weight was in the length of the handle. The 2021 is back to the 2017 75mm length.
New for 2021 is a matching stand. The stand has a peg for the hole in the base of the handle. The base is hefty and the connection is tight enough to prevent accidental tipping.
The packaging is the best I've ever seen. The 2020 blue wooden boxes have been outdone by the 2021. The box makes you feel like you are holding something special. Smaller than the 2020 and more elegant. The straps to hold the razor in place are a much welcomed addition.

Damn you, LOOT! I was in a GRUME.
Ha! Glad to help. Resistance is futile.
