Seville is a relatively sharp scent to me, and almost makes me think there is some eucalyptus in there (although there is not). The upcoming L&L Grooming is more of a rounded scent without any of the sharpness of Seville. I think it must be the sandalwood, black pepper and rosemary that keep the scent grounded — I don’t feel like the citrus in it is overpowering at all.

I hope this helps.

Perf, thanks! And thanks to Andrew too.

So it's basically within the same barbershop realm as Seville, but less zesty and earthier/deeper. Which fragrance would you pair it with?

Great cover design btw!

I wouldn't consider it in the barbershop realm, personally, but "barbershop" as a genre is problematic to nail down Smile

Yes, as Scott said, I would be very hesitant to put this in the barbershop group of scents, although the edges of that group are murky (compare Seville to, say, Stirling Soap Company’s Barbershop).

I find a certain kinship between the DFS LE and some of the Chatillon Lux scents I have experienced, and I think this soap would pair quite well with Vide Poche. My explorations of the fragrance universe have been limited, but I’ll report back if anything else comes to mind.

I'm in!

I haven't bought a new soap in ages. L&L has been one brand tempting the most. Haven't tried it yet, but excited to. Sounds great.

Just to give everyone a quick update, I'll have the preorder listings available today and will provide direct links as soon as they are available. The preorder will run for two weeks and will end on May 14th. Once the preorder period ends I will order the labels and fragrance components and begin production as soon as I have everything in hand.

My current projected shipping window is the week of June 4th (6/5-6/10). Should there be any potential delays I will let y'all know as soon as possible.

Very excited for the opportunity to make this for you guys and hope you all enjoy it Smile
