So it's a citrus forward scent then?

you can definitely smell the citrus, but I wouldn't say it'll smack you in the face...

the pre-orders should be opening up within the next few days.

From the jar, I get an almost nutty scent with some citrus in it. But when lathered, the scent opens up a bit more — the citrus becomes more detectable, though it still doesn’t stand out solely, as there are so many other components in the mix. This is not a “slap in your face” type of scent, but rather a well-rounded pleasant aroma in a soap base that is outstanding.

Are we talking anything like B&M Seville? Or in fragrance terms, Habit Rouge or Pour Monsieur? Or more direct lemon? I'm asking because I like the aforementioned, but tend to avoid the very and straight up lemony or limey scents.

halvor, I just did a side-by-side to confirm what I already knew (because I love Seville and remember the scent quite well). Seville is a relatively sharp scent to me, and almost makes me think there is some eucalyptus in there (although there is not). The upcoming L&L Grooming is more of a rounded scent without any of the sharpness of Seville. I think it must be the sandalwood, black pepper and rosemary that keep the scent grounded — I don’t feel like the citrus in it is overpowering at all.

I hope this helps.

I have seville at home as well and will give them a sniff next to each other in a few hours when I'm home from work.

The scent notes sound good!  I know the soap base is great!  And, an aftershave is going to be available, too?  Take my money, please? Big Grin

I sniffed the B&M Seville against the L&L 2017 LE and will agree with what Matsilainen said...the seville is more forward with its scents whereas the L&L scent is more mild and rounded out some. I do love my B&M Seville though!

Awesome label!

I'm just curious, and of course this is just if it is possible to discuss. What were the notes on the first prototype?

I'm not going to say as I don't want it to cause any confusion in the thread.
