A shave with two of Elena's "Jabones by Luna" products, great performance. The soap has a medium-high menthol level and scent wise, I pick the spearmint and the mango, not much of the lime. I really like it. Outstanding lather, thick, slick and protective. The balm is dense, probably a bit too much for summertime use, but leaves a perfectly hydrated and nourished skin after use.
The Semogue 1470 had been in dry dock for a while, so it had a 48 hrs soak prior to use. She performed well, but nowhere near my two other boars (Semogue 1305 and Omega 31052). Looks like short lofted boars are not my cup of tea.
I have been a long term R89 head user and always had great shaves with it, but inevitably had the occasional red dots appearing on my skin using it. To get it working properly, I need to use sharper blades with it, which I presume explanes that. With this Parker OC razor, I can go a step down in blade sharpness and get amazingly close shaves, and to my surprise, it seems that it doesn't stress my skin any more than the R89 head does. In fact, it seems the other way around. Perhaps part of this is explained by the fact that I do feel the blade much more and I'm more cautious, but anyway, it does work really well.

A Franken Shave Day!
EJ DE87 head/Scotch & Stowe handle
Astra SP blade
FS/WD boar brush
Stirling Margarita's in the Artic SS
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
M&L Florida Water cologne w/added menthol
What a nice shaving combo that razor is. Smooth, effective, easy to hold/use and I like it. The FS/WD boar brush is very very soft and made a nice lather. All the parts worked well and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks
