“Modern” Injector and Gem Razors

Side note: I think injectors are suuuper underrated when it comes to head shaving. 

I’m glad that the V1 works for you cranked up.  This is one I’ll consider. I like supporting, even the bigger, companies that are innovating and meeting customer demands, e.g. Feather, Muhle, and Edwin Jagger producing stainless steel razors.  I know Parker has been making some moves the last couple years so maybe it’s time they get some of my sheckles.

And for Gem: the Blackland Sabre and another with a name I can’t remember (Atelier or Blut?  Something like that).  Oh and the wolfman too, but I’ve never really considered that because I think (correct me if I’m wrong) you have to wait forever on a waitlist and then drop $400 to get it, which I just simply won’t do.

The Vestige is excellent from Atelier Durdan - their Black Friday sale starts next week. Would definitely recommend the Vestige with + or ++ plates. Three months isn't forever for the Wolfman but yes you are looking at a starting price of about $360 new. It's worth it for me. I could just use the Wolfman. I'm now near exclusively using GEM blades. Hoping that the Sabre v2 happens Shane!

PAA Starling was a disaster. Skip the SS version unless they make major changes to the design. Was released too early IMO. Not tried the alu version. Don't really care for super light razors. Haven't tried the Shield for similar reasons.

Hope that Tatara will produce a GEM... but AC is much more likely. They haven't confirmed a format so far.

Maybe Blackland will re-introduce (and improve) the ATT G1 and Rocnel continues to make the SE-G in small batches on demand.

A more agressive G1 in bronze would cause me to salivate and open my wallet.

I think the hook design is clever and interesting, but overall too cumbersome. At this stage, I think it's unlikely to be reintroduced. Maybe we'll revisit it down the road and see about changing the design.

Actually the only thimg wrong with the first version, which I own, was that it was too mild.  I find it shaves well cramked open and use it to shave my head these days.    The styling is based on the Pal, but the mechanism is from the Schick.  The newer versions added a bit to the top end, I believe.

The Parker adjustable injector seems like a direct copy of the vintage PAL to me.  Certainly in styling, as you say.  Doesn't the mechanism also copy the PAL?  I thought the safety bar went in/out like the PAL and not up/down like the Schick adjustable. You know way more than I do, Whiterook, so I could be incorrect.
